I think Young had his eyes on a top four team even before McLeish hadend in his resignation at Birmingham. He is a top player and I would expect him to thrive under someone like Alex Ferguson, in the same way  as Valencia did when he moved from a smaller club.I'm not sure how I feel about the way McLeish has handled himself since resigning. I would've liked to see him take on the challenge of winning promotion from the Championship again, as it can be a difficult task for any manager and would certainly have proved his worth. But his dealing with Villa will feel like a slap in the face to Birmingham fans   and certainly could've been avoided as there are other teams with similar reputations looking for managers in the Premier League.
